The weather outside is frightful...

But inside, the heater is delightful!

I've got today off, so I'm planning on staying indoors with my cats and just drawing and painting. There's this nice set of colored pens and markers on my desk that are screaming for me to finish that snowman scene I'm currently working on. Of all the wintertime icons, I think I love the snowman the best.

There's something magical about them. Blame it on repeated viewings of "Frosty the Snowman" as a child, but I think they're really cute and special. This snowman is a work in progress, and once he's done I'll post the finished product.

In the meantime, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

I'm going to try out this whole blog thing and see how it goes!

I want to share a lot of things that have brought me happiness and comfort. That includes cooking (I have some really awesome winter-time recipes that are guaranteed to warm the heart as well as the blood!), poetry, and some of my art. Plus whatever else strikes my fancy too! You never know what I might come up with.
